Our wonderful daughter Valerie is born on June 3rd, 2003, she was expected for July 25, that would be the first of plenty of surprises. Though times but more then anything great moments that will embellish our lives forever.

She weighted 2 lb. 12 on. because of an intrauterine late growth and of course being premature. I gave birth premature because of an unstitching placenta. Funny thing is I had a surgery right after the delivery because the placenta would not come out.

Well, since we have many unsolved riddles regarding laryngeal cleft, now we have the swimming challenge.
Diego's laryngeal cleft is closed, but we are very hesitant regarding swimming. Because nobody can tell us what will happen when Diego goes under water and accidentally swallows some water.

Hi,

I haven't eaten well for a while, but the last weeks I have eaten very well. I eat very much and even eat my vegtables such as, pepper, union, tomatoes, coliflour, and lots more...jamie,jamie. It seems that the repair of my laryngeal cleft (fissure of the larynx) is making progress. But still I have to be carefull. Sometimes I have swallowing problems and luckily I now know better how to handle it. So I know things are good again.

After a turbulent period of time,  Diego is getting stronger again.

In November 2009 Diego has had the Swine flue, and stayed for a while in the hospital in quarantine.
Fortunately he could go home soon after a few days. However we soon discovered something else was wrong.

Since he was weakend so badly he got on top of that also a pneumonia. Luckily just for Christmas he revoverd and teh pneumonia was cured.

And know he is getting stronger by the day!!!
